When Kanibek Japarov from Kyrgyzstan was diagnosed with liver cancer, his family faced a difficult challenge in finding the most suitable treatment option.
The family came to the National Research Oncology Center after their daughter learned about the NROC through social media.
During the diagnostic evaluation, physicians identified a concurrent heart condition that required immediate intervention. Mr. Japarov underwent pacemaker implantation before proceeding with his cancer treatment. A week later, specialists successfully performed transarterial chemoembolization of the hepatic arteries. The treatment was successful, and he was discharged home a few days later.
Advanced minimally invasive technologies employed at NROC enable physicians to perform complex interventions through small punctures, reducing trauma and facilitating faster recovery.
“I thought the treatment would be long and painful. However, everything was done quickly and professionally. I feel well now and am sincerely grateful to the doctors and the entire Center team,” said Kanibek.
According to the family, they considered several treatment options abroad before making their decision. Ultimately, NROC became the medical institution they trusted with their health.
The National Research Oncology Center provides high-tech, specialized medical care not only to patients from Kazakhstan but also to individuals seeking advanced oncology treatment from abroad.
