In 2018, following an instruction of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a decision was made to establish the National Research Oncology Center. The project aimed to create an innovative medical complex that would integrate advanced technologies, cutting-edge scientific research, and leading medical specialists.

For the first time in Kazakhstan, treatment has begun using proton therapy, radionuclide therapy, laser therapy, molecular genetic technologies, immune cell therapy, and personalized medicine — patients are already being admitted in the new building of the medical center. Advanced diagnostic methods are available here, including molecular genetic and radionuclide analysis, as well as radiation diagnostics. Treatment includes proton, radionuclide, chemo-targeted, and laser therapies, while innovative approaches such as immune cell therapy and personalized medicine open up new possibilities in combating diseases.
